Additional 16 people be declared martyr: UDMF

KATHMANDU, Sept 18: The United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) today called on Deputy Prime Minister Bimalendra Nidhi at the latter's office in Singha Durbar and submitted a memorandum, demanding that additional 16 people killed during the Madhes movements be declared as martyrs.

KATHMANDU, Sept 18: The United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) today called on Deputy Prime Minister Bimalendra Nidhi at the latter's office in Singha Durbar and submitted a memorandum, demanding that additional 16 people killed during the Madhes movements be declared as martyrs. 



The note also mentions the names of those injured seriously during the movements to be provided with life-long food and accommodation and the details of the bills for medical expenditures on the injured, who are receiving or have received treatment at various hospitals. 



Earlier, the UDMF had submitted a list of 52 people killed during the movements to the government, demanding that they be declared martyr. 



In response, DPM Nidhi said the demands of the UDMF would be addressed by Cabinet after going through due process to this effect, according to Sadbhawana party General Secretary Manish Suman. RSS
