Adverse weather affects TIA air service for 15 minutes

KATHMANDU, May 26: Adverse weather affected the operation of flights at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) today. According to the TIA office, its service towards both domestic and international sectors was disrupted by 15 minutes today (from 11:30 am to 11:45 am) due to visibility issues.

KATHMANDU, May 26: Adverse weather affected the operation of flights at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) today. According to the TIA office, its service towards both domestic and international sectors was disrupted by 15 minutes today (from 11:30 am to 11:45 am) due to visibility issues.

TIA Spokesperson, Subash Jha, said rain forced them to suspend the flights for 15 minutes. 


Now, the flights have resumed. The weather is generally cloudy in the Kathmandu Valley since the morning. Various parts of it presently report light rainfall.  As the Meteorological Forecasting Division said rain is taking place at different parts of the country due to the impact of local winds.
