Responding to the breach of the high-water mark, the Koshi barrage's entire complement of gates were opened during Sunday's late hours, as confirmed by statements from the district administrative office. In light of this gate opening, residents along the coastal stretch of the Koshi River have been urged to exercise heightened caution by the administrative authorities.

In the wake of incessant downpours across the nation since Saturday, virtually all of the country's waterways have swelled beyond their banks. The Meteorological Forecasting Division forecasts continued rainfall across a significant portion of the nation throughout the day.
