KATHMANDU, Aug 12: The 2021 census indicates that as many as 2,190,592 Nepali citizens are residing abroad, with over 275,000 of them being children.
Data released by the National Statistics Office (NSO) last Friday shows that 12.6 percent of the Nepali population living abroad are children. Of those living abroad, 11.1 percent of men and 19.1 percent of women are boys and girls, respectively.
