BARA, March 26: The newly-elected Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad yadav has said that it is necessary to develop the education sector.
Vice President Yadav was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Bara-2 from the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP). After being elected as the Vice President, he came to Bara for the first time to visit the Gadhimai temple.
Vice President Yadav lays emphasis on protecting child rights
Speaking at a program organized to felicitate him by Mahagadhimai Municipality in Bariyarpur on Sunday, Vice President Yadav said that he was born in a poor family and became the Vice President of the country today after studying, writing and pursuing education as a profession.
"If I were not educated, I would not have reached this position today," Yadav said. "For the development of the country, all citizens must be educated."
Madhesh Province Chief Minister Saroj Yadav assured that the province government will provide all possible support to develop the Gadhimai Temple as a tourist destination. Mahagadhimai Municipality Head Upendra Yadav requested the Vice President and the Chief Minister to assist in the development of the Gadhimai Temple area.
It is being said that JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav will contest in the by-election to be held on April 23 in Bara-2 constituency, which became vacant after Ramshaya Yadav was elected as the vice president.
Yadav's son Amarendra Yadav along with the Vice President and Chief Minister visited the Gadhimai temple located in Bariyarpur in Mahagadhimai Municipality.
