KATHMANDU, Jan 6: The senior member of the House of Representatives, Pashupati SJB Rana, has called an all-party meeting today to set the agenda for the first meeting of parliament.
All-party meeting to begin at 3 pm today
The first meeting of the parliament is scheduled to be held on January 9. Party whips and representatives from parliamentary parties have been invited for the meeting at 1 pm. Independent parliamentarians have also been invited to the meeting.
It is said that the meeting will discuss issues such as the election of the Speaker, preparations for the government's vote of confidence and the President's address. As there is a practice for the president to address the new parliament formed after the election, there will be a discussion in the all-party meeting for its arrangement.
