KATHMANDU, Feb 3: All-rounder Bibek Kumar Yadav scored unbeaten 25 runs after picking up two wickets to help Birgunj Stars win the Eliminator match by six wickets against KIEC Birgunj to reach the final of the Birgunj Premier League (BPL) match played in Birgunj on Sunday.
Stars will face Singh XI Lions in the final match on Monday.
Yadav puts up show to deliver BPL title to Stars
Yadav faced 25 deliveries during his innings which included four boundaries as Stars completed the chase of 92 runs in 16.3 overs after limiting the opponents on 89 runs for the loss of nine wickets at the end of 20 overs.
He shared an unbeaten partnership of 44 runs with captain Haseem Ansari who stayed unbeaten on 18 runs off 17 deliveries which included two boundaries. Likewise, Bishal Sushling chipped in with 18 runs off 29 deliveries which included a four and a six.
Aadil Ansari, Samsaad Sheikh, Samsaad Ansari and Alfaz Mansuri shared a wicket each in losing cause for KIEC.
Earlier, Takshak Simkhada top-scored with 20 runs for KIEC which struggled to 89 runs in 20 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat first.
Pradip Kumar Pashwan scalped three wickets aided by Yadav’s two to help restrict KIEC. Saidullah Ansari, Babujan Ansari and Hari Shankar Sah shared a wicket each.
