Ambassadors present credentials to President

KATHMANDU, Aug. 29: President Bidya Devi Bhandari received the letters of credence from Ambassador of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Wellage Swarnalatha Perera; from Mentor Patricia Villagomez Merino the Republic of Ecuador Ambassador, from Republic of Slovenia Ambassador Jozef Drofenik and Republic of Mauritius to Nepal, Jagdishwar Goburdhun amidst a special ceremony held at the ceremonial hall, Office of the President, Shital Niwas, on Monday.

KATHMANDU, Aug. 29: President Bidya Devi Bhandari received the letters of credence from Ambassador of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Wellage Swarnalatha Perera; from Mentor Patricia Villagomez Merino the Republic of Ecuador Ambassador, from Republic of Slovenia Ambassador Jozef Drofenik and Republic of Mauritius to Nepal, Jagdishwar Goburdhun amidst a special ceremony held at the ceremonial hall, Office of the President, Shital Niwas, on Monday. 



Sri Lankan Ambassador Ms. Perera is residential ambassador and while Mr. Villagomez Merino, Mr. Drofenik and Mr. Goburdhun are based in New Delhi with concurrent accreditation to Nepal, said a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 



Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat; Chief of Army Staff, General Rajendra Chhetri, foreign affairs expert at the Office of the President, Dr. Madam Kumar Bhattarai, Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, Secretary at the Office of the President, Bhupendra Prasad Poudel, and other senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present on the occasion.
