Ambulance carrying pregnant woman crashes into truck, four injured

CHITWAN, May 16: Four people were injured when an ambulance carrying a patient collided with a truck parked in Chitwan. Four people were injured last night when the ambulance carrying a pregnant woman from Gorkha rammed into a truck (Na 7 Kha 64) parked on the roadside in Ramnagar, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1.

CHITWAN, May 16: Four people were injured when an ambulance carrying a patient collided with a truck parked in Chitwan. Four people were injured last night when the ambulance carrying a pregnant woman from Gorkha rammed into a truck (Na 7 Kha 64) parked on the roadside in Ramnagar, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1.

According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, among the injured, the ambulance driver Ek Bahadur Sunar from Sulikot Rural Municipality 6, Gorkha, and a pregnant woman, Srijana Gautam, are in serious condition. Pregnant Srijana Gautam was going to Chitwan for delivery.


Gautam's face and legs are seriously injured. Her husband Sudip Gautam of Gorkha Municipality-6 and Meena Koirala were slightly injured. The police said that they are being treated at Chitwan Medical College. Truck driver Suraj Shrestha of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan city-19 is in police custody.
