Indian national dies in Mustang

KATHMANDU, July 30: An Indian national, who had gone on a pilgrimage to Muktinath temple in Mustang, died due to high altitude sickness on Monday.

KATHMANDU, July 30: An Indian national, who had gone on a pilgrimage to Muktinath temple in Mustang, died due to high altitude sickness on Monday.


The deceased has been identified as 63-year-old Prashanna Kumar from Hyderabad, India. According to police, he breathed his last at 7:20 am on Monday while undergoing treatment at Mustang District Hospital after he fell sick. Kumar, a heart patient, was accompanied by other 42 Indian pilgrims.

The dead body of Kumar was taken to Pokhara where his family members will receive the body.
