Another People’s War likely: Chairman Dahal

KATHMANDU, Feb 26: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that a conspiracy is being hatched to usurp the constitution, democracy, and the rights of all the oppressed classes and communities.


Speaking at a program organized on the memorial day of Martyr Dil Bahadur Ramtel at Kathmandu on Saturday, Dahal also warned that another People's War is likely in the country if regressive forces make a comeback again.

He also said that they were trying their best to prevent any kind of regressive alliance from dominating by breaking the ruling coalition formed to preserve the constitution, democracy, and nationality.


Stating that they had stood against the MCC project from the beginning, Dahal claimed that the regressive forces were using it to try to break the ruling coalition. Adding that the ruling coalition is in danger of collapsing due to the MCC grant agreement dispute, Chairman Dahal said that they are seriously looking for various measures to prevent it and solve the MCC issue.
