DHANGADI, Dec 4: Armed Police Force (APF) Constable Bharat Ram Koli has been arrested from Mahendranagar on the charge of murdering Maya Luhar, 21, of Pancheshwor Rural Municipality-4, Baitadi. Chief of Kanchanpur police, DSP Shyam Chaudhary said that Koli, a resident of Shivanath Rural Municipality-4, was arrested from Mahendranagar buspark at around 10 AM on Sunday.

DSP Chaudhary said preparations are being made to send Koli to the Baitadi District Police Office. Koli, 22, was working in a Pokhara-based APF unit. Maya, who had gone with her niece Neha to sew clothes from home, was strangled to death in Shivanath Rural Municipality on 29 November. Neha was found injured on the second day. She is being treated at Dadeldhura Hospital. Maya's brother has filed a complaint against Koli for murder. The police had been searching for him for five days.
