Soldier dies after being impaled by iron rod

KALAIYA, April 28: A Nepal Army (NA) personnel died after getting impaled by an iron rod in Bara. The deceased has been identified as Raj Kumar Ram of NA Kasara Barracks, Nawalparasi.

KALAIYA, April 28: A Nepal Army (NA) personnel died after getting impaled by an iron rod in Bara. The deceased has been identified as Raj Kumar Ram of NA Kasara Barracks, Nawalparasi.

The deceased, identified as a resident of Majhailiya of Kalaiya Sub-metropolis-16, suffered the fatal accident as he was on his way to Kalaiya from Birgunj on a motorcycle. He accidently got pierced by the iron rod loaded on a tractor at Sisahaniya of Kalaiya Sub-metropolis-24 and died on the spot.   


Following the accident, police have arrested tractor driver Ramesh Tiwari, 32, of Tikuliya of Dewahi Gonahi Municipality-5 in Rautahat district, Superintendent of Police, Homindra Bogati said.
