Around Rs 40 million collected in a year from monetary offerings to Pathibhara Temple

TAPLEJUNG, July 24: Around Rs 40 million has been collected from monetary offerings at the temple of Hindu goddess Pathibhara in Taplejung. 


Devotees from home and outside the country reach the Pathibhara Temple, a famous religious shrine in the district.

According to the Pathibhara Area Development Committee's Executive Director Prajin Hangbang, of the collection, Rs 16.42 million was collected in the last four months alone.      


The temple sees a surge of devotees especially during the Chaite Dashain festival observed in March-April. 


The Committee recently unveiled its annual report for the fiscal year 2080/81 BS (2023/24) on Tuesday. It is said a total of 231,334 devotees visited the temple last fiscal year.
