Arrested Khadka involved in online gambling scandal through unauthorized use of others' citizenship cards

KATHMANDU, July 6: It has come to light that Dinesh Khadka, who was apprehended for his alleged involvement in online gambling through 1XBet, had unlawfully utilized the citizenship of several individuals without their consent.


Following a thorough investigation, the police discovered that Khadka had conducted transactions exceeding Rs 310 million through '1xbet,' an online betting platform offering various games and activities.

Superintendent of Police Rabindra Regmi stated, "It has been uncovered that Khadka, who was arrested on June 13, illicitly opened 42 accounts using other people's citizenship details, depositing a staggering sum of 313.2 million rupees into these accounts and transferring the funds to other destinations."


In response to the accused’s actions, two victims filed a complaint at the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office of Nepal Police, invoking Section 3 (a) and (b), Section 5 (a) and (c), and Section 6 of the Banking Offenses and Punishment Act 2064 BS, prompting necessary action. The case has been forwarded to the district police range at Teku for further proceedings.
