Asia region match abandoned in consecutive days

KATHMANDU, Nov 21: Nepal Women national cricket team has moved up to the second position at the ICC Women’s World T20 Asia Region qualifiers points table after the match against Hong Kong Women was washed away on Tuesday at Bangkok, Thailand.

KATHMANDU, Nov 21: Nepal Women national cricket team has moved up to the second position at the ICC Women’s World T20 Asia Region qualifiers points table after the match against Hong Kong Women was washed away on Tuesday at Bangkok, Thailand.



Nepal has two points after two matches with one point each from each match following up another washed away against Thailand Women yesterday.



Whilst the first innings was completed yesterday before rain intervened the second innings to abandon the match, the match against Hong Kong was abandoned without a ball being bowled.



The competition that is featuring a total of six Asian nations including host Thailand, Nepal, Hong Kong, UAE, Thailand, China, and Malaysia is being held in a round-robin format. 


Top two teams will advance to the Global Qualifiers to be held in Netherlands in June next year, where Bangladesh and Ireland along with other six nations will be competing.
