Assistant-driver killed in road accident

HETAUDA, Oct 1: An assistant-driver of a tanker died on the stop when a speeding tanker fell off the road at Mahabhir along Tribhuwan Highway in Makawanpur district in wee hours of Saturday.

HETAUDA, Oct 1: An assistant-driver of a tanker died on the stop when a speeding tanker fell off the road at Mahabhir along Tribhuwan Highway in Makawanpur district in wee hours of Saturday. 



The deceased has been identified as Binod Chaudhary, 25, of Simara-8 in Bara district. 



The incident took place when a tanker (Na 2 Kha 28 52) moving to Palung from Bhaise fell some 600 metres off the road, according to the District Police Office, Makawanpur. 



Driver Kumar Lama, 37, and another person Man Bahadur Lama, 19, were critically injured in the incident. The injured, who were rushed to a local hospital in Hetauda, are referred to Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan for further treatment, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bamdev Gautam. RSS
