Automation system launched in all high courts for case management

KATHMANDU, Dec 24:  The long-awaited automation system has been introduced to all high courts and benches for case management.


It was launched by Chief Justice Bishowambhar Prasad Shrestha amid a program held at the Patan High Court. "This is a happy moment," CJ Shrestha said, "It gives simplicity in judicial administrative work, and everyone has faith in this."

Previously, the bench was appointed by the lottery system. The study committee chaired by the then justice Harikrishna Karki suggested the introduction of an automatic court system to remove distortions and inconsistencies in the court.


Chief Justice Shrestha started the system of automatically scheduling cases in the Supreme Court from 28th August. Saying that there were positive results from it, CJ Shrestha issued a circular to implement this system in all high courts as well.
