Ayushmann Khurrana reveals he faced discrimination for being a 'desi boy'

Ayushmann Khurrana said that he has faced discrimination abroad for being a desi boy. He went on to say that this happens on a daily basis.

Ayushmann Khurrana is currently busy working on Anubhav Sinha's 'Article 15'. The actor will be seen in a whole new avatar as he plays the role of a cop in the film. Fans are going gaga over Ayushmann's moustache look! The film talks about caste discrimination in our society.

Sharing his thoughts about the film, in a recent interview, the actor said that his success of his previous films made him bold enough to take up this project. He added it’s not easy for an actor to give a nod for such a film as it's beyond commercial aspirations.

When he was asked if ever faced discrimination, the actor replied with a straight no. He further stated that it doesn't happen to someone who belongs to upper caste. He said that this practice should be completely abolished from India.




Then he added that he has faced discrimination abroad for being a desi boy. He went on to say that this happens on a daily basis. Elaborating the same, he said that in India we have different utensils for our domestic help but this isn't the situation in the US. One can share a with chauffeur in the US but not in India.


He said that Indians think this is normal.


Meanwhile, the film also stars Isha Talwar, M Nassar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.
