KATHMANDU, Oct 9: Nepali Congress (NC) and Gachchhadar-led Nepal Democratic Forum have decided to unify. Informed sources said that they will formally announce unification later in the afternoon.
“After the entry of NDF Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar into the NC, the party unification campaign will be announced formally,” a Baluwatar source said, adding, “The unification between the two parties has been scheduled for 4 pm.”

Gachchhadar had defected from the NC to join Madhesi People’s Rights Forum led by Upendra Yadav in 2064 BS. After few months, he formed his own party Madhesi Pepople’s Rights Forum (Democratic) splitting from the Yadav-led party.
Gachchhadar had won the elections in 2048, 2051, 2056 BS representing the NC.
