Bagmati Cleaning Campaign into 200th week

Kathmandu, March 11: Thousands of people participated in the march from Sundarijal to Chovar along the route on the bank of the Bagmati River today on the occasion of the Bagmati Cleaning Mega Campaign reaching its 200th week. 


The people’s participation in the march was huge despite the early morning rain.

some 1,600 organisations under the mega campaign so far. 


Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba, former chairman of the Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi, CPN (UML) leader Subas Nembang among other party leaders as well as the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, the Armed Police Force personnel, employees of different organisations, youths and general public took part in the event today. 


Addressing the event, government chief secretary Dr Som Lal Subedi read out a 10-point commitment letter and said the every individual should continuously engaged in cleaning one’s house, surroundings, offices, rivers and other public places. RSS
