Bagmati Health Minister Joshi urges people to avail free health services

CHITWAN, Aug 13: Minister for Health of Bagmati Province, Uttam Joshi, has urged the people of the province to avail free health services from hospitals in the province.

CHITWAN, Aug 13: Minister for Health of Bagmati Province, Uttam Joshi, has urged the people of the province to avail free health services from hospitals in the province.


One hundred eight beds in 13 hospitals of the province have been reserved for free for poor people, and the people can avail the service, he said while talking to media-persons here today.

Stating that over 750,000 patients have received the service from the hospitals in the fiscal year, 2022/23, the minister said, "We have made available beds for free for poor and needy people. We will make the beds free to all citizens in the days to come."


Dengue tests have been also made available for free, he said.  Free health insurance has been managed for people from the marginalized communities, those who are in shelter homes, persons with disabilities and female health volunteers, he said.
