MAKWANPUR, Feb 27: A meeting of Bagmati Province Assembly is being convened today.
According to Krishna Hari Khadka, chief secretary of Bagmati Province Assembly, the session will take place at the Province Assembly Secretariat at 3 PM.
Chief Secretary Khadka said that the leaders of the ruling parties and opposition parties will address the meeting and present some bills.
Bagmati Province Assembly to begin discussion on budget today
An all-party meeting is also scheduled for today itself prior to the Province Assembly meeting, he said.
Although a consensus was forged in the previous all-party meeting to proceed with the parliamentary proceedings, the ruling parties and opposition are yet to reach an agreement on certain issues.
Today's all-party meeting will discuss the same issues and try to reach an agreement, he said. The Bagmati Province Assembly meeting has not taken place since October 9 last year.
The Province Assembly meeting in Bagmati Province has been adversely affected due to disputes among the political parties.
