The bridge links Beni Municipality-9 with Raghugang Municipality-3 under the Beni-Jomsom roadway.

The road was sunk after the Raghuganga River eroded the bases of gabion wall and retaining wall constructed for the protection of the bridge.

The road in Galeshwor side was sunk five meter down the surface on Sunday.

A local Dipak Karki said as the river was cutting the vicinity, even the settlement around it has been posed to risk. He argued that the course of river was changed causing more erosion after it was diverted toward Galeshwor in course of constructing a motorable bridge.

With the inspection of the area, the local authorities have directed the concerned company working for the construction of the bridge and others to take measures to prevent damages. RSS
