KATHMANDU, Feb 22: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that balanced ties with the immediate neighbors India and China is crucial for Nepal in order to achieve the goal of prosperity.
"Although two neighboring countries India and China enjoy different political systems, and socio-economic condition, a well-balanced, effective and proper relationship with them is a must to achieve our goal of prosperity," PM Oli said while addressing a program organized to unveil his book entitled 'Vision to Action' in the capital on Saturday.

According to him, it is not good to interpret the country's location and size negatively as a small yam between two large stones. "Indeed, it can't be enlarged, but we must not deny the fact that it can prosper on its own through effective and wise diplomacy with these two neighbors."
On the occasion, he also stressed the need for a fair competition without demeaning others. He went on to say that the country has abundant prospects of development and a formidable and stable economy can be formed through healthy competition among the stakeholders.
He also took time to inform that the government has been blacktopping an average of six-kilometers of road on a daily basis. "350 bridges have been built; energy generation has increased at a rapid pace in these two and a half years since he took helm of the government.
