KATHMANDU, Feb 18: Baluwatar Cricket Club (BCC) has clinched the Khukuri Challenger T20 Cup Cricket Tournament with an eight-run win over Kathmandu Cricket Training Center (KCTC) on Saturday.
At the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, BCC won the toss and opted to bat first and gave a target of 152 runs in the allotted 20 overs in the loss of nine wickets against KCTC. In reply, KCTC failed to chase the target and got 143 runs in 19 overs in the loss of six wickets.

BCC’s Abinash Bashyal was named the man-of-the-match as he took three wickets sparing 26 runs in three overs.
After the win, BCC took home the bag of Rs 300,000, while KCTC was rewarded with Rs 100,000.
Likewise, BCC’s Kshitiz Singh was adjudged the man-of-the-series as he claimed the highest 12 wickets in seven matches. He was given Rs 20,000. Also, Tikapur Cricket Club’s Rabindra Jung Shahi and the departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC)’s Rabindra Jung Shahi were named the best bowler and the best batsman of the tournament respectively and earned Rs 10,000 each. Also, Great Himalayan Cricket Club (GHCA)’s Sagar Dhakal was rewarded with the best emerging player of the tournament and was prized with Rs 10,000.
