BBC Master Chef Shah awarded

KATHMANDU, April 15: The government has honored BBC MasterChef The Professionals Rematch winner Santosh Shah with Suprabal JanaSewa Shree Award.

KATHMANDU, April 15: The government has honored BBC MasterChef The Professionals Rematch winner Santosh Shah.


He was awarded with Suprabal JanaSewa Shree Award amidst a function organized at the Office of the President at Shital Niwas on Thursday.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari conferred the award on him for his contribution to promote Nepali cuisines in the international arena.


A native of Karjanha of Siraha district, Sah was catapulted to global fame after he participated in the BBC Master Chef competition.


Shah has thanked the government for the recognition. Taking to his twitter, Shah said, “I have been awarded Suprabal Jana Sewa Shree by the Government of Nepal for my contribution to Nepalese society and promoting Nepali food to the world.”
