Bhairahawa Gladiators enters EPL final

KATHMANDU, Dec 19:  Bhairahawa Gladiators has defeated Kathmandu Kings XI by six wickets at the second qualifier round of the Everest Premier League (EPL) – 2018 held at the TU Cricket Ground on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, Dec 19:  Bhairahawa Gladiators has defeated Kathmandu Kings XI by six wickets at the second qualifier round of the Everest Premier League (EPL) – 2018 held at the TU Cricket Ground on Thursday.


With this win of the Bhairahawa Gladiators, Galdiators will be playing with Lalitpur Patriots for the final match for the EPL-2018 title.


Chasing the 101-run target, Gladiators achieved it in 17 overs at the cost of four wickets.

Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss, Kathmandu Kings XI  had notched up 100 runs against Gladiators losing all wickets in the allotted 20 overs.


Sandeep Rajali top-scored with 27 runs with one four and one six off 26 balls, Pardeep Sahu made 25 runs including three fours off 22 balls.


In reply, Kushal Malla took three wickets of Bhairahawa Gladiators giving away 20 runs in four overs, Mohammad Naveed grabbed two wickets giving away 2o runs.


Ryan Ten Doeschate collected highest 45 runs including five fours off 38 balls, while Ravi Inder Singh took 31 while the rest of batsmen could not achieve double-digit runs.


In reply, Samshad Sheikh took two wickets of Kathmandu Gladiators giving away 30 runs in four overs, Pardeep Sahu grabbed one wicket giving away 15 runs.
