KATHMANDU, Jan 26: Solidarity for Dr KC Alliance on Saturday staged a demonstration at Maitighar in the capital expressing its solidarity with senior orthopedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC who has been staging hunger strike for the past nearly three weeks.

During the protest, participants including leaders and cadres of the Bibeksheel Nepali Party chanted slogans holding placards against the government for not implementing agreements reached between Dr KC and the government in the past. The protest comes a day after the Parliament endorsed much-talked National Medical Education Bill.
Dr KC has been staging fast-unto-death demanding reforms in the medical education for the past three weeks and it entered its 18th day on Saturday.
