Birds' photos on exhibition

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: A solo photo exhibition of birds captured by Bangladeshi photographer, Jalal Ahmed, kicked off today at Nepal Art Council in Babarmahal.

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: A solo photo exhibition of birds captured by Bangladeshi photographer, Jalal Ahmed, kicked off today at Nepal Art Council in Babarmahal. 


The three-day exhibition organized by Bangladeshi Embassy in Kathmandu has put on display photos of 50 different species of birds which include 40 from Bangladesh and 10 from Nepal.

The photos of Gaune, eagle, sparrow, Rupi (Sarau), owl, parrot, Tuktuke, Dhukur, Matakore with different landscapes in the background are on display.


Bangladesh Ambassador to Nepal, Mashfee Binte Shams, inaugurated the photo exhibition and termed such program as fruitful to know the similarities between the two countries and enhancing cultural exchanges.


Nepal Academy of Fine Arts Chancellor, Ragini Upadhyay, spoke of similarities between the cultures of Nepal and Bangladesh. She added that the Academy was working with the Embassy to strengthen it. RSS
