BIRGUNJ, Sep 5: Birgunj Metropolitan City is cracking down on illegally operated educational institutions, recently sealing two more colleges in its ongoing campaign. Annapurna College, located in Ward Number 16, and Universal Academy College in Ward Number 11 have both faced closures as a result of this initiative.
Ishwar Chandra Yadav, the coordinator of the regulation committee established by the metropolis, revealed that Annapurna College Srimaisthan and Bal Bidya Mandir Indu Lakhey Basic School in Gahawa were shut down because they were operating illegally.

He stated that the colleges had been sealed because they were occupying its school building without the required permissions to function as a college. Coordinator Yadav further explained that a team led by District Coordination Committee Parsa chairman Niranjan Shah Sonar (Munna Sarraf) had sealed the main gate of the school building.
Universal Academy also faced closure by the metropolis, as it was found to be operating without the necessary permissions for a college. This action follows the closure of Birgunj School of Law, Imperial College, and BG Kids on August 30 by a team from Birgunj Mahanagar for the same reason – the absence of required permissions.
