Black box of Saurya Airlines plane sent to Singapore for analysis

KATHMANDU, Aug 3: The black box from the Saurya Airlines plane that crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport on July 24 has been sent to Singapore for analysis.

KATHMANDU, Aug 3: The black box from the Saurya Airlines plane that crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport on July 24 has been sent to Singapore for analysis.


Sources revealed that the investigation team, led by Ratish Chandra Lal Suman, the coordinator of the government-formed commission, traveled to Singapore with the black box. "The black box is crucial for investigating aircraft accidents. The cockpit voice and flight data records are being examined in Singapore," said a source. "The team will return in a few days."

The commission has already completed its on-site investigation. The crash, which occurred during a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara for a C-Check, resulted in 18 fatalities. Pilot Manish Ratna Shakya was injured but has been discharged after treatment. A five-member commission has been given 45 days to complete the investigation into the accident.
