Boys Union, Bansbari win

KATHMANDU, Aug 25: A day after signing title sponsorship deal, Divine Boys Union Club registered a 3-1 win over Samajik Youth Club while Bansbari edged past Nayabasti Youth Club 1-0 in the Martyrs Memorial B Division League football tournament played at the APF ground in Halchowk, Kathmandu on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, Aug 25: A day after signing title sponsorship deal, Divine Boys Union Club registered a 3-1 win over Samajik Youth Club while Bansbari edged past Nayabasti Youth Club 1-0 in the Martyrs Memorial B Division League football tournament played at the APF ground in Halchowk, Kathmandu on Thursday. 



With the win, Boys Union also opened account in the standings after two matches. Abishek Rijal put Boys Union ahead in the 39th minute and substitute Jaya Gurung doubled the advantage during an hour mark. Manish Thapa made it 3-0 for Boys Union in the 78th minute. Samajik pulled back consolation goal through Bhuwan Basnet in the dying moments. Samajik is yet to open its acount in the points table. In another match, Kiran Thapa scored the lone goal for Bansbari in the 22nd minute in its victory over Nayabasti.  Bansbari has four points after the win while Nayabasti suffered second defeat in a row from as many matches.
