BRCRN organizes fun quiz to mark the International Biodiversity Day 2024

KATHMANDU, May 18: Building a Resilient Chure Region in Nepal (BRCRN) project has organized a fun quiz to celebrate International Biodiversity Day (IBD) that falls on May 22, 2024. The quiz started on May 15 one week ahead of International Bio- Diversity Day (IBD), and will end on May 22, IBD.

KATHMANDU, May 18: Building a Resilient Chure Region in Nepal (BRCRN) project has organized a fun quiz to celebrate International Biodiversity Day (IBD) that falls on May 22, 2024. The quiz started on May 15 one week ahead of International Bio- Diversity Day (IBD), and will end on May 22, IBD.


For the quiz, pictures of local flora and fauna will be displayed on BRCRN’s X account and Facebook page, and users will be asked to identify the pictures. The quiz is expected to increase the knowledge of diverse flora and fauna in the region, to increase discussions about these plants and animals, and to highlight the importance of bio-diversity and conservation.

Furthermore, users will be welcomed to share their own pictures of flora and fauna in the region and to discuss these plants and animals more widely in order to raise awareness. “Biodiversity is very important for the health of our earth and wellbeing of human beings. In order to conserve Biodiversity, we need to raise more awareness of it,” says Bala Ram Kandel, National Project Manager of BRCRN.


BRCRN, a project funded by GCF (Green Climate Fund), is implemented by the Government of Nepal (GoN) through the Ministry of Forests and Environment with technical support from FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization).
