KATHMANDU, July 17: Nepal Army has appointed Brigadier General Santosh Ballav Paudel as its new spokesperson after the incumbent spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey was appointed as the Acting Divisional Commander of the Mid-Western Division of the national army.

Brigadier General Pandey handed over the responsibility of the army’s spokesperson to Paudel on Friday. The newly-appointed Spokesperson Paudel has expressed commitment to work together closely with media persons in disseminating factual information related to the national army.
Outgoing Spokesperson Pandey thanked media associates for their immense contribution, support, guidance, coordination, aid and valuable comments during his tenure as spokesperson. “I share an enriching experience amalgamated with inquisitiveness and challenges. As to my knowledge, we were successful in creating a conducive working environment where both parties flourished, grew and benefitted,” he said.
