Minister Kunwar said that there is a challenge for the government to bring Nepali citizens stranded abroad to Nepal. Minister Kunwar said that NRNs have the responsibility to bring Nepali citizens who have died abroad or are stranded there.

He said, "Now the headache is that there are some dead bodies of Nepalis who had gone to some countries illegally. They are our own Nepali citizens. We have not cremated their bodies. That is a challenge for the government of Nepal. Both the NRNA and the government should pay attention to this.”

Minister Kunwar said that the government is ready to coordinate with Nepali banks if it is possible to open bank branches. He said that since remittances coming from abroad come through illegal channels, the government will continue to work to control such activities. Minister Kunwar said that remittances can increase if remittances from such channels can be controlled.
