Buddha Harmony Foundation Awards differently-abled Hidden Talent of Nepal

KATHMANDU, Dec 20: Five differently able talents were awarded the ‘Buddha Harmony Bimala Regmi Social Service Award 2018’ with cash worth Rs 10,000 each and a letter of felicitation by the Buddha Harmony Foundation. The award, established by Sandhya Regmi, the Founder President of Buddha Harmony Foundation and the Advisor to the Nepal Spinal Cord Injury Sports Association (NSCISA), is given each every year to distinguished individuals who have contributed tremendously in the field of Social Works despite being physically challenged, as per a press statement released by Buddha Harmony Foundation.

The award, established by Sandhya Regmi, the Founder President of Buddha Harmony Foundation and the Advisor to the Nepal Spinal Cord Injury Sports Association (NSCISA), is given each every year to distinguished individuals who have contributed tremendously in the field of Social Works despite being physically challenged, as per a press statement released by Buddha Harmony Foundation.


Among the awardees were 5 differently-abled extraordinary talents and Sports Persons of Nepal Spinal Cord Injury Sports Association (NSCISA) , namely — Himal Aryal, Rishi Ram Dhakal, Yami Jhakri Magar, Lali Dolma Sherpa, and Amrita Gyawali— all  bound to wheel-chair due to Spinal Injury.

Sandhya Regmi was honored with a Letter of Honor by the Nepal Spinal Cord Injury Sports Association (NSCISA) for her continuous support, encouragement and coordination of programs for the Spinal Injured to uplift their morale. 


Likewise, at the event three literary books 'Kamal Raj Regmi ka Kavita haru' (Poems of Kamla Raj Regmi),'Sansmaran ka chhaal haru' (Reflection of Memories) and Sadabahaar Kamal ko Suwas (Kamal's Eternal Fragrance) were released. Late Kamal Raj Regmi wrote those books. Senior Politicians, literary Writers and Social Activists were also present at the event, as per the press statement.
