Bus and truck set on fire by unidentified group

DAMAULI, May 13: An unidentified group set ablaze a bus and a truck at Rising and Belbhanjyang of Tanahu on Friday night. 


A group of eight to nine persons set a bus (Na. 6 Kha. 3525) parked at Chalise of Rising-6 on fire. The bus was completely gutted in the fire, Superintendent of Police Umesh Raj Joshi said. The bus driver and his assistant were forced out of the bus before it was set on fire.

Also the same night, a truck (Na. 3 Kha. 9116) was set ablaze at Belbhanjyang in Bandipur Rural Municipality-1. The driver was inside the truck when it was set on fire. However, he managed to escape by breaking off the front glass, DSP Manoj Pandey said. The truck was carrying sugar to Pokhara from Dumre. 


Meanwhile, a suspicious object was found near Bhorletar chowk and the district forest office this morning. They were later cleared to safety by a bomb disposal squad, police said. RSS
