Businessmen take to the streets against KMC's decision to bank roadside parking in New Road area

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: The businessmen of the New Road area have closed the shutters of their shops and started a protest.


After the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) banned parking on the streets in the New Road area, they closed their shutters and came out in protest.

The businessmen have protested saying that customers will not come if they are not allowed to park there.


KMC has decided not to allow vehicle parking on black-topped roads from today.


According to the metropolis, parking is prohibited on the roads around Dharmapath, Juddha Salik to Indrachowk, Khichapokhari, Mahabuddha and Bir Hospital.
