CAAN increases fee for shooting movie inside airport by Rs 5,000

KATHMANDU, August 20: There has been an increase of Rs 5,000 in the fee for shooting movies inside the international airport in Nepal.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has implemented the revised Airport Service Fee Regulations. According to the revised regulation, there has been an increase of Rs 5, 000 in the film shooting fee as compared to the fee till the last fiscal year.


According to the CAAN, filmmakers now have to pay Rs 15,000 for a period of six hours when shooting a film, video film and documentary inside the international airport. Earlier, such fee was only 10,000 rupees.


Similarly, a service fee of Rs 7,000 has to be paid while filming at the domestic airport. In the past,  the charge stood at Rs 5,000 only.
