Maoist MP draws attention to Dr KC's demands
A delegation led by the Campaign's president Krishna Prasad Bhandari Marseli submitted a memorandum and through it drew the government's attention to immediately checking market price rise.
The memorandum states that unfair business practices such as cartel, monopoly and unlawful activities have been taking place in the market. It also points out that market monitoring was also not meaningful and effective.
The memorandum suggests adopting a policy of market intervention and supplying the daily essential commodities through the Food Trade Company and Salt Trading Limited to ease the supply system and control the market prices.
It has also called on the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies to analyze the price of goods based on the price at customs and the factory price.
