KATHMANDU, Sept 21: The Yunnan Province of China has shown interest in forging a collaboration between Chinese and Nepali media. 


Visiting Chief of Yunnan Province's Publicity Department, Chong Yan, said that the media persons from both countries could work for the promotion of development issues.

During a program organized by the China Media Forum in the capital on Wednesday, he shared that Yunnan Province would provide training to journalists from South Asia, including Nepal so that they could work in collaboration.


Forum Chairman Kishore Shrestha urged the Yunnan Publicity Department chief to facilitate collaboration between the government officials of Nepal and Yunnan Province, China.


On the occasion, Prime Minister's Press Advisor Govinda Acharya shared that the Nepali delegation led by PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal would be in China for eight days. Former Ambassador Kamal Prasad Koirala said that Nepal could reap benefits from China's progress.
