According to a press statement issued on Saturday, the organizer will be creating a countdown 15 minute before 8 am on April 13-- the day which also marks the first day of Bikram Sambat 2077-- through the Global Compact Nepal's Facebook Page to sync the national anthem through all media channel. It has asked all to spread and share this initiative across the nation and play the national anthem on the given time to show support and solidarity for the people of Nepal and salute all the frontline workers helping combat COVID-19.

The local network of the Global Compact Nepal was launched in 2003 with the support of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry(FNCCI), the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). "We want to bring solidarity in the nation and take this opportunity to saluate and appreciate all the front line workers, who have been working tirelessly to combat, contain and help the nation in this difficult period," it said, explaining the objective of this initiative.
