CAN Federation to provide IT scholarship to 49 students

SURKHET, July 9: Federation of Computer Association Nepal (CAN Federation) has announced that it will provide scholarship to 49 students to study IT. 


Federation president Nawaraj Kunwar made this announcement at a news conference here on Sunday. He said the 'CAN National ICT Scholarship 2075' would be awarded to 49 meritorious students.

According to him, the Federation is partnering with Lord Buddha Education Foundation, Kathmandu on providing the scholarship. Seven students from each province would be selected for the scholarship and female students who have interest and skills in ICT would be given priority, he added. 


Kunwar said seven students including four under the Female Merit ICT Scholarship and three under the ICT Merit Scholarship category would be selected from each province. 

"Students selected for the scholarship can study BSc IT at Lord Budhha Education Foundation, Kathmandu which is affiliated to the Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, Malaysia," Kunwar said. 


Among the selected students from each province, one student would be provided full scholarship while the rest would get limited scholarship to study IT. 

CAN Federation has stated that it was offering this scholarship as part of its social responsibility to provide opportunities to students from outside the capital to study IT. RSS
