CAN prepares to send Sandeep Lamichhane to South Africa

KATHMANDU, June 4:  Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has decided to send leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, a vital member of the Nepali national cricket team, to South Africa on Monday evening.

KATHMANDU, June 4:  Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has decided to send leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, a vital member of the Nepali national cricket team, to South Africa on Monday evening.


CAN is about to send rape-accused Lamichhane to South Africa after his next hearing was fixed for July 14 at the District Court, Kathmandu.

The Nepali cricket team is in South Africa to prepare for the World Cup cricket qualifiers to be held in Zimbabwe. However, CAN did not send Lamichhane because his trial was ongoing. 


But now that the hearing has been postponed, CAN is trying to send him to South Africa as soon as possible, according to Durga Raj Pathak, executive secretary of CAN.
