Canadian national arrested with 9 kg gold from TIA

KATHMANDU, Feb 2: A Canadian national has been arrested with 9 kg 135 grams of gold from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

KATHMANDU, Feb 2: A Canadian national has been arrested with 9 kg 135 grams of gold from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).


A team of TIA Customs Office arrested 35-year-old Canadian citizen Mohammad Kamal Mahgob, who came to Nepal with gold from Dubai (United Arab Emirates), in the course of checking last night.

According to the head of the TIA Custom Office, Arun Pokharel, Mahgob came to Kathmandu through FlyDubai flight and was arrested Wednesday night . Pokharel said that the incident is being investigated.


It is said that he was handed over to Gaushala police office for further investigation.
