Candles lit to commemorate rapper Yama Buddha (photo feature)

KATHMANDU, Jan 22: Candles were lit to commemorate late Nepali rapper Anil Adhikari at Basantapur area on Saturday evening.

KATHMANDU, Jan 22: Candles were lit to commemorate late Nepali rapper Anil Adhikari at Basantapur area on Saturday evening.


Kin, fans, relatives and general people present at the commemoration ceremony lit the candles before signing in a banner to pay their tribute to Adhikari.

Twenty-nine-year-old Adhikari, popularly known as Yama Buddha, had been found dead in his residence in northern London on January 14.


According to family sources, the singer was found dead in his bathroom at around 3 am.


Adhikari had been living in London with his wife.

Family members have already received a postmortem report and preparations are underway to bring his body to Nepal

Currently, the dead body has been kept at Northwick Park Hospital, Harrow.
