Arzu Deuba for continuity of existing alliance till polls

KAILALI, March 24: Central member of the Nepali Congress, Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has said the existing political alliance should be continued till the upcoming elections.

KAILALI, March 24: Central member of the Nepali Congress, Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has said the existing political alliance should be continued till the upcoming elections. 


It has been evident that the current ruling alliance was capable of taking the country on the right track and it would be better if the coalition members continued with the unity until the elections, she said.

Also the spouse of the Prime Minister, Deuba was confident that the local level elections slated for May 13 would be held on the slated date. “The elections will be held as per the constitutional provision and on the announced date, so we now should gear up for it. “    


Speaking at a press meet organized by Nepal Press Union Kailali chapter at Dhangadhi today, the NC central member took time to make it clear that the people’s favorite leaders would be given the opportunity to fight for the upcoming elections on behalf of the party. A person who is the people’s choice knows about the people’s issues at the local level and their needs, she reminded. 


In response to a query where she would be competing in the election from, she said she was familiar with the people of Kailali and would test her luck from there provided that the party judged her capable.
