Chairman Nepal calls to protect festivals, cultures of all

KATHMANDU, Jan 22: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that festivals and cultures of all nationalities and ethnic communities marked traditionally should be protected.

KATHMANDU, Jan 22: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that festivals and cultures of all nationalities and ethnic communities marked traditionally should be protected.


In a message of Sonam Lhosar today, the former PM said the festivals and cultures bearing unique features help contribute to unite society in our multi-ethnic, multilingual and multicultural nation.

He has also said that such festivals and cultures have uplifted Nepal’s pride at the international level as well and laid emphasis on the protection of such festivals from the communities concerned.


In his message, Chairman Nepal has also expressed his best wishes for happiness, peace, good health and prosperity to all Nepali sisters and brothers living in the country and abroad.
