KATHMANDU, May 21: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has complained that the attendance of the party's lawmakers in the federal parliament was not satisfactory.
Oli expressed his displeasure with his lawmakers in the parliamentary party meeting on Saturday, a day after the government's policies and program for FY 2023/24 were presented to the Federal Parliament.
Challenges facing the new FinMin
"Our presence in the parliament has become weak," Oli said at the Parliamentary Party meeting, "Why has the UML become withered, like a chicken that has eaten salt?"
Giving instructions to ensure effective presence in the meeting of the federal parliament, UML Chairman Oli said, "If ideas, methods and presentation are not new, the party becomes old. But I think we are strong in terms of ideas and passion.”
While stating that the policies and programs presented by the government are not worth supporting, Oli said, "The policies and programs have not been able to identify any of the country's political, economic, or social problems."
Alleging that there is no seriousness in the policies and programs of the government, Oli alleged that the policies and programs are not connected with the constitution and the needs of the country.
